Time zones

By the way, I think all our posts so far are on Pacific Time because Heather's mom set the blog up for us and she's in Washington State. I think Peru is on Central time and currently we're on Eastern time. One of these days, we'll update our settings so that it shows our actual time. :) In Miami, it's almost midnight...

Peru, as you probably know by now, is in the Eastern time zone. I can't wait to hear the rest of the story -- Lima and onward! And pics! :)

Happy Sunday! Hope you got to a church service in Lima, or wherever you stopped.

Idaho is a good time. No cell phone service but they have Internet here. Crazy.

Back to hard labor tomorrow. I don't mind - I slept so well last night :)

Today's song: This was a tough one. Wanted to keep it appropriate for Sunday but wanted to keep away from "churchy" songs. My selection is:

Artist: Sundays
Song: Summertime
Album: Static & Silence

A pop classic from about 10 years ago. I remember waking up in the mornings during the spring time of year in Colorado just before graduating from high school (or maybe it was college time - 10 years ago, I don't remember that far back anymore). My radio set on FM wake up and listening to this song as I laid in bed. Lazy mornings.

Do some people wind up with the one that they adore
In a heart-shaped hotel room it's what a heart is for
The bubble floats so madly will it stay sky-high?
Hello partner, kiss your name bye-bye
ooh sometimes...

Romantic piscean seeks angel in disguise
Chinese-speaking girlfriend big brown eyes
Liverpudlian lady, sophisticated male
Hello partner, tell me love can't fail

And it's you and me in the summertime
We'll be hand in hand down in the park
With a squeeze & a sigh & that twinkle in your eye
And all the sunshine banishes the dark

Do some people wind up with the one that they abhor
In a distant hell-hole room, the third world war
But all I see is films where colourless despair
Meant angry young men with immaculate hair
ooh sometimes...
Get up a voice inside says there's no time for looking down
Only a pound a word & you're talking to the town
But how do you coin the phrase though
That will set your soul apart
Just to touch a lonely heart

And it's you & me in the summertime
We'll be hand in hand down in the park
With a squeeze & a sigh & that twinkle in your eye
And all the sunshine banishes the dark
And it's you I need in the summertime
As I turn my white skin red
Two peas from the same pod yes we are
Or have I read too much fiction?

Is this how it happens?
How does it happen?
How does it happen?
How does it happen?
Is this how it happens?
Now, right now

Miguelito, great song choice. I love that song. "Cry" is my favorite from that album. I think that's what it's called. It says, "And I'm standing on the platform, now I'm staring from a train..." Love it. Love the Sundays. :)

Hi, Sister Tucker. I think we are in the Eastern Time Zone, but I think we're actually on Central Time, because Peru doesn't observe Daylight Savings. :)
